President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated President Xi Jinping of China on his historic election to a third term as the leader of the Communist Party of China.

In a message, the Nigerian leader said he hope that Jinping re-election would pave the way for deeper and enduring partnership and strategic cooperation that will be mutually beneficial to the two countries.

President Buhari said he believe that the development of infrastructure, such as railways, dams and roads construction, power generating plants, as well as trade exchanges will receive a strong boost.

Xi Jinping was re-elected at the party’s 20th convention, which was held from 16th-22nd October, 2022.
