Excerpts........
My name is Chris Ewere Okaeben, and by the grace of God I’m from the Benin kingdom, I’ve lived all my life in Benin, my primary school, secondary school and my both degrees where in Benin.
By the grace of God I started politics as far back as the year 2000 when I first contested as a councillor.
I was also commissioner for youth and sports which I served for about one year, and I ran for the state House of assembly in 2014/2015. I won the election and served my first tenure perfectly.
Immediately after my election in 2016 we had the burden to deliver a successor for our great leader Comrade Adams Oshiomole, where he suggested to us that he wanted a successor which made us brought in Obaseki, we made sure we put our state at risk to make sure he won the election in 2016. From that 2016/2017 he became a different person in Edo state, relationships became strange to the point that I was running for House of Representatives but the governor said he’s not going to give me the ticket and I had to run for the state house second time and to his surprise against all odds I won my second tenure.
Asiwaju Bola Amed Tinubu by the special grace of God now president of the federal republic of Nigeria and the 16th president of the most populous black nation of Africa is a man that has earned our loyalty as far back as the year 2007 when adams was attempted to run for the governorship in Edo state, Asiwaju has also been a part of Edo state election. We are greatful to God today, what so many people thought won’t be possible is a reality today. On behalf of every young man and every youth I want to congratulate all Nigerians and also congratulate Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a successful transition of power from one government to the other by the grace of God Nigeria will come out better and stronger.
Talking about the man Asiwaju, everything he said during election campaign I know he will do them, he’s not a man given to try to convince you, but he’s driven by the conviction of what he meant for this country,I was very impressed by the first lady’s interview when she spoke to Nigerians, in her words she said and I quote “ me and my husband have not come to serve not to immense wealth but rather we have come to offer ourselves for service so that we can have a safer and better Nigeria we can call our own”.
I wish to speak to our young people, this government is your own this country belongs to you, our parents have played their part it’s our time to play Ours. I want to also thank Muhammadu Buhari for all his efforts, I don’t care what anyone has to say, if from 1999-2015 we had a very good oil boom that would have transformed Nigeria to a better country then Buhari would have done so well as a president.
Issue of subsidy, and the president said subsidy is gone, but immediately he said so, the queue returned immediately, what’s your view on this?
