The federal government has declared Monday, October 3, 2022 as public holiday to mark the nation’s 62nd Independence Anniversary.

The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who made the declaration on behalf of the federal government, congratulated all Nigerians on this year’s celebration of the country’s 62nd Independence anniversary and assured of government’s commitment to tackling and eradicating all forms of challenges – be they political, socio-economic or otherwise.

The permanent secretary in the Federal Ministry of Interior, Shuaib Belgore, quoted the minister as saying that, “The world is going through dire economic and security challenges which have also affected the nation.
