The Kaduna State Traffic Enforcement Authority (KASTLEA) says it will release all motorcycles it impounded in 2022, as of Tuesday.

This is contained in a statement by KASTELIA’s Acting Corps Marshall, Carla Abdulmalik, issued on Sunday in Kaduna.

She, however, said that owners of the impounded motorcycles must pay fines and regularise their documents.

The Acting Corps Marshall said that the exercise would be conducted in batches beginning from Dec. 20, 2022, to Jan. 20, 2023.

According to her, the screening for documents will be done at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, where forms will be filled and photocopies of documents attached by the owners, as well as the signing of the undertaking.

“Unregistered motorcycles will pay a registration fee of N30,000 each and those without Number Plates or particulars will have to pay N12,000 each.

“Owners of registered motorcycles will pay N20,000 and N3,700 for renewal of particulars, totaling N23,700.

“Motorcycle owners are expected to present their national identity cards, motorcycle purchase receipts, registration particulars, and passport photographs before the motorcycles are released to them,” she added.
