The Police Command in Nasarawa says it has deployed its personnel to patrol all black spots in the state, to ensure a hitch free Christmas and New Year celebration.
This is contained in a statement signed by DSP Ramhan Nansel, Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state and on Friday in Lafia.
According to the police spokesperson, Maiyaki Muhammed-Baba, Commissioner of Police (CP) in the state had ordered that all entry and exit points should be patrolled to ensure the safety of lives and property.
“The CP has directed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, Head of Tactical Teams, Intelligence and Operational Units to massively deploy their operatives to fortify all the entry and exit routes, highways and recreational centers,” he said.
The CP also felicitated with Christians in the state on the occasion of the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ and assured them of public safety before, during and after the celebration.
He assured all residents of the state and those that would be traveling through the state to join their family and friends of their safety.
“Adequate measures have been put in place to dominate the public space and ensure visibility policing across the state,” he said.
