Unknown gunmen in the early hours of Wednesday attacked the Divisional Police Headquarters, Adani in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State.
This follows a series of similar attacks on police formations across the South East over the past three months. At least 14 police stations across the five states in the South East have so far suffered such attacks.

In the latest incident, two of the police officers on duty were reportedly killed and several others injured. The police station was burnt.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Enugu State Command, Mr Daniel Ndukwe, said that the details of the incident were still sketchy and promised to get back.
