NPC in Ebonyi set to undertake 2023 census, trains 851 adhoc workers, others

The National Population Commission (NPC) in Ebonyi, says about 851 Facilitators and Specialised Workforce have being trained for the 2023 Census Exercise.

Mr Darlington Okereke, the NPC Federal Commissioner, made the remarks on Friday during an interview with the media in Abakaliki.

Okereke said that the concluded training with 534 facilitators and 317 special workforce was for the enumerators and supervisiors.

He disclosed that the commission had also taken delivery of a digital process known as Personal Digital Assistance for accuracy and quality data collection, towards the housing census.

He explained that the training exercises provided a clear guide for field enumerators procedures for the conduct.

“The training comprises of enumerating areas, trial census to try all equipment and others which came out well.

“We have trained all principal trainers, other adhoc workers and following all time lines planned.

“Security and the media for the exercise will be inaugurated. NPC in Ebonyi is set for the exercise, “Okereke said.
