The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency on Thursday began screening successful applicants for the role of enlightenment facilitators for the 2023 Hajj Operations.

The Executive Secretary, of Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Dr. Yusuf Arrigasiyyu, during the screening, said he would work with whatever the screening committee decided on.
He said it organized the committee to find out competent facilitators that would educate pilgrims in accordance with the teachings of the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
Arrigasiyyu thanked the committee for its support and for helping the Agency’s efforts toward a successful Hajj.
Earlier, Khadiza Gambo Hawaja, Chairman of the Screening Committee, assured that the committee would screen the experienced and educated persons who would improve the knowledge of pilgrims in accordance with Islamic laws.
Other members of the committee included Prof. Yahaya Mujahid, Imam Habibi Mahmoud Imam, and Muhammad Kabir Kasim.
Others included Dr. Muhammad Almanar, Rakiya Ladan, and Ibrahim Shehu Giwa.
135 applicants attended the exercise.
