Lt. Cdr. Ibrahim Babainna (Rtd) has urged Muslim faithful to remember less privileged Nigerians as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr to mark the end of the Holy month of Ramadan.

The People's Redemption Party (PRP) flagbearer in the recently concluded governorship election in Adamawa state said this in a statement while felicitating with all Muslims.

"Barka Da Sallah to all Muslim faithful," he said.

"On this blessed day of Eid-el-Fitr, I, Lt Commander Ibrahim Baba-Inna RTD, extend warm greetings and felicitations to all Muslims in Adamawa state and Nigeria at large.

"Alhamdulillah, we have successfully completed the Holy month of Ramadan, a period of self-reflection, devotion, and spiritual rejuvenation.

"I pray that Allah (SWT) accepts our ibadat and supplications during the fasting period and grants us the strength to continue to uphold the lessons learned during the month of Ramadan throughout the year.

"I commend all Muslims who persevered throughout the fasting despite the hot weather conditions. Your dedication and commitment to your faith are truly admirable and inspiring. May Allah (SWT) reward you all abundantly," he added.

Babainna, who is also the founder of the IBI Foundation widely known for its programmes targeting the less privileged and those excluded in society also used the opportunity to advocate for increased public interest and intervention in the lives of those who fall in these categories.

"As we celebrate this joyous occasion, I urge all Muslims to remember the less privileged in our society and extend a helping hand to them," he said.

"Let us also pray for peace, progress, and productivity during the coming farming season. May Allah (SWT) bless our efforts and grant us bountiful harvests.

"Furthermore, I enjoin all Muslims to pray for our dear state and country at large. Let us ask Allah (SWT) to guide our leaders and grant them the wisdom and courage to make decisions that will benefit us all.

"Once again, Barka da Sallah to all Muslims. May Allah (SWT) accept our ibadat and grant us many more opportunities to witness this blessed month"
