Local club donates medical equipment to community

 The  Etsako Club 81,  has donated  medical Equipment to  Idegun Community Health Centre in Anwain  clan of  Etsako West Local Government of Edo.

 The items included  sphygmomano-metre accosin  clock face (table top), examination couch, ward screen-4folder (stainless) andone crank hospital bed with mattress and bedside lockers
 
The President of the club,  Dr Bala Yusuf, on Wednesday presented the medical equipment  to the management of the   health centre and the  community.
 
 
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the club is the foremost socio-cultural development body  that focuses on the enhancement of Culture, welfare and development of the community.
 
 
According to him, the scorecard of the club  has its footprints in several spheres, especially in the provision of  scholarship to the indigent students of the community.
 
 
He said the group made significant impact and interventions in  the  community, especially through the alternative dispute resolution, towards resolving communal crisis.
 
 
“Our donation of food and essential items to flood victims, indigent families during Covid-19 Pandemic period continue to resonate and receive accolades,” he said.
 
 
‘In our 42  years of existence, our impact in Afemai land has been felt in the whole of the community .
 
” Apart from having our sons and daughters who  excelled  in their different callings globally, our clamour for peaceful co-existence, inter-religious harmony and inter-tribal co-habitation is second to none and worthy of emulation,” he added.
 
“The  club spread its tentacles to other parts of the globe beyond Lagos where it started 42 years ago.
 
“It can now boast of Benin, Abuja and Americas (USA & Canada) branches with more waiting in the wings to be formally inaugurated.
 
“Thank God, that is now history due to the commendable efforts of our Wake and See Governor, Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki.
 
“Worthy of praise and special commendation with respect to the actualization of this presentation today is our illustrious son, Alhaji Sufy Abdulmaliki, whose efforts have contributed to what we are seeing today.”
 
 
He also recalled the role played by the “indefatigable, respected and international figure, Dr. Mamudu Dako (former Etsako Club 81 president) and his team”.
 
” I remember specifically his visit to Idegun for an on the spot assessment and inspection of the facility, to knowing the areas of need; Dr., we remain ever grateful.
 
He thanked the club for the feat and other numerous achievements, including educational scholarships for their sons and daughters.
 
 He, however, used the medium to assure that their efforts would not go in vain as he promised to use all at their disposal to ensure that the medical equipment were judiciously utilised.
