Following accusations of financial impropriety to the tune of N80billion against the immediate-past Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, a group, on Friday, protested at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Abuja, demanding his probe and immediate arrest.
The protesters, led by former Kogi state Deputy Governor, Hon. Simon Achuna, Peter Ocheni and NADECO Okpanachi, urged the EFCC to re-open its earlier investigation into Yahaya Bello tenure, which could not be concluded because of the constitutional immunity clause protecting the governor while in office.
