The Diplomatic Correspondents' Association of Nigeria (DICAN) congratulates the Australian, Jamaican and Romania High Commissioners and Ambassador to Nigeria.

The association also called for partnership with the new-appointed Ambassador and the diplomatic community in order for their embassies and high commission through quality media reporting sustain the existing economic, cultural, military, education, energy and diplomatic relations between them and Nigeria.

DICAN assures the High Commissioner of Jamaica, Lincoln Downer, High Commissioner of Australia, Leilani Bin-Juda and the Ambassador of Romania, Florin Talapan of their support in line with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and relevant laws to ensure that they succeed in their endeavours.

The Association also used the occasion to appreciate His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar who was recently Conferred DICAN's GRAND PATRON, for the nation's foreign policy direction anchored on democracy, developments, demography and diaspora (4D).

DICAN however, urged the newly appointed Ambassadors and the entire diplomatic community to embrace the 4D policy for enhanced mutual relationship.

Diplomatic Correspondents' Association of Nigeria (DICAN) is an umbrella body of over fifty (50) Correspondents and Editors from the Electronic, Print, New Media (Online) and Wire Services officially assigned by their Media Organisations to report the diplomatic beat.
