Obaseki Ill-Prepared for Governance, Chief Frank Erewele
...Lampoons Deputy Governor, SSG for Misleading Governor Godwin Obaseki
Chief Frank Erewele, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Edo Central Senatorial District, has expressed his disapproval of the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Mr. Philip Shaibu, and the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Osarodion Ogie, accusing them of misleading Governor Godwin Obaseki whom he described as ill-prepared for governance.  In a viral video, Erewele highlights his past association with Shaibu and Ogie, emphasizing their absence during the formation of the Grace Group, also known as “No Man Is God.”

Chief Erewele condemns the actions of Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu and Secretary to the State Government Osarodion Ogie, claiming they have misled Governor Obaseki. He asserts that during the formation of the Grace Group, both Shaibu and Ogie were nowhere to be found. Expressing his disappointment and amusement at their current positions of influence, given their previous involvement with the Grace Group, he describes them as toddlers who haven’t learned from their masters.

Chief Erewele predicts that the upcoming 2024 elections will be the easiest so far, citing his familiarity with the political landscape and the players involved. He compares Shaibu and Ogie to a son who has learned a small skill in tailoring but now believes he can accomplish more than he is capable of. Erewele implies that the duo lacks the necessary experience and wisdom to guide Governor Obaseki effectively.

Furthermore, the APC chieftain criticizes Governor Obaseki, stating that he was not adequately prepared for leadership and was brought into politics by former Governor Adams Oshiomhole.

Erewele suggests that Obaseki is now witnessing the challenges and complexities of governance without proper guidance. He calls for prayers to ensure that those elected to lead do not turn against the people who placed them in power.

Chief Frank Erewele’s video message showcases his disappointment with Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu and Secretary to the State Government Osarodion Ogie for allegedly misleading Governor Obaseki. Erewele highlights their absence during the formation of the Grace Group, emphasizing his firsthand knowledge of their limited capabilities.

He also criticizes Governor Obaseki, suggesting that he was ill-prepared for the challenges of leadership. This public criticism exposes internal divisions within the PDP and raises questions about their leadership dynamics in Edo State.
