The Supreme Court on Friday, affirmed the election of Dapo Abiodun as Governor of Ogun State.

The apex court dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Ladi Adebutu, challenging the election of Dapo Abiodun as Governor of Ogun State.

With this judgment, Adebutu of the PDP has lost the final battle to upturn the election of Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State.

Also, the Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal by the All Progressives Congress and its candidate, Ovie Omo-Agege against the election of the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori.

The court said the appeal lacked merit and the appellant was unable to discharge the burden of proof placed on him.
