The Chairman of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Ondo State Chapter, Hon. Akintoye Cornelius, has said that the governorship candidate of the party, Dr. Abbas Mimiko, will win the forthcoming governorship election slated for Saturday, 16 November 2024 in the state.
Cornelius, who spoke on Friday during a chat with newsmen, commended the peaceful conduct of its members at the party’s congress, held across 203 wards of the state on Thursday.
He said the rancour-free ward congress has further boosted the chances of Mimiko to emerge victorious at the forthcoming governorship election.
While noting that ZLP is the only alternative for the people of the state to have a fair share of good governance in terms of economic prosperity, access to qualitative education, health among others, he said the new mantra of the party is “Ja Fo Rie”, a clarion call to individually seeking economic prosperity for all.

Cornelius also used the opportunity to note that registration of new members remains open to all.
“ZLP is the only alternative for the people of Ondo State. Our membership remains open to all”, he added.
On the chances of its gubernatorial candidate winning at the general election, he said members of the party are working tirelessly to make it possible as Ondo State people deserve better in terms of governance.
