PDP Crisis: No One Can Force Me to Step Down.... PDP National Chairman....Am. Damagum

The Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ambassador Umar Damagum, has asserted firmly that no one will force him to resign from his position.

It is important to highlight that the PDP has faced internal conflicts both prior to and following the 2023 elections.

Damagum has frequently been accused by party members of playing a role in the ongoing crisis.

He said, ”Let me send a message to everyone talking about Damagum this, Damagum that – I cannot be intimidated. The more you mention me, the more popular I become.”

He noted that the criticisms have only bolstered his popularity, leading him to consider a presidential run because of this heightened recognition.

During the inauguration of the National Reconciliation and Disciplinary Committees, chaired by Olagunsoye Oyinlola and Tom Ikimi respectively, Damagum expressed frustration with those who, despite lacking knowledge of the National Working Committee’s operations, spread misinformation to the public.
