The State Working Committee (SWC) of the Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended representative of Delta North Senatorial District, Peter Nwaoboshi for one month over alleged anti-party activities.
Senator Nwaobishi is the PDP Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
The suspension notice was contained in a statement signed by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Dr Ifeanyi Osuoza, in Asaba.
According to the statement, the suspension became necessary following Nwaoboshi’s alleged recent romance with an opposition party and verbal attacks on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

It added that the SWC viewed his action as unacceptable, disturbing and unbecoming of a politician and party member of his status.
“Although the suspension is obligatory, it has become imperative and inevitable, especially given the dramatic spontaneity and over-zealousness of Nwaoboshi’s verbal attacks, which are out of character and might have been induced by circumstances that defy immediate rational analysis and comprehension.”
It would be recalled that Nwaoboshi had castigated Okowa administration on Sunday when he played host to some of his supporters at his country home in Ibusa, Oshimili North Local Government Area, saying, “Urhobo and Itsekiri governors performed credibly well than our own Anioma (Delta North) governor.
“What has the Anioma governor done for Asaba people to show that he loves Asaba more than the Delta Central people?”
