There was only one winner at the 2022 BMW golf classics his name is Sane Lowry who ended his 38-month winless streak on the DP World Tour by beating the challenge of Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm to claim victory in the BMW PGA Championship.

Lowry made an eagle and five birdies to record a seven-under 65 and close a bogey-free week at the BMW event, the course which was decreased to 54 holes due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

Rory McIlroy narrowly missed out final-hole eagle to force a play-off, with Jon Rahm also tied-second after a round-of-the-day 62.

Meanwhile Shane Lowry posted a seven-under 65 to finish on 17 under and secure a first worldwide victory since his win at The Open in 2019
