The President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Ibrahim Gusau on Tuesday said his board will work together with the Secretariat to ensure the Super Eagles start their African qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup on a very strong footing.
Briefing some Sports Journalists, Gusau said they are also working with Coach Jose Peseiro and his crew to harmonize plans and strategies to see that the Super Eagles win the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d'Ivoire.
Also promised to work diligently with the Head Coach and his crew to see that the Super Falcons reclaim the Women Africa Cup of Nations trophy.
While they are determined to see the Super Falcons return to the Women Olympic Football Tournament, in Paris next year.
His words: "Presently, we are working with the Board of NPFL to grow the NPFL into the product that all administrators and stakeholders keenly desire.
"Similarly, we are working with the Boards of other Leagues to improve the state of our domestic football.
"This time next year, we hope to have started and made some good progress on our hostel accommodation and a number of playing pitches for the National Teams, through the FIFA Forward 3.0 project.
"We will work diligently with the Head Coaches and their crew to see that the U17 and U20 girls enact their best-ever performances at the FIFA U17 and FIFA U20 Women's World Cup tournaments respectively next year.
" Our expectation and determination are that the Super Eagles B also return to the African Nations Championship
" We intend to work even harder to grow our revenue base through aggressive marketing drive in order to be able to easily prosecute matches of the National Teams and our other programs.
