Two prominent members of the Real Estate Developer's Association of Nigeria (REDAN) were recently conferred with the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) by President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their excellent performance in the just concluded African Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The members are the Zamfara State chairman of the Association, Ibrahim Gusau, and currently the president of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), and Dr. Mohammed Sanusi REDAN BoT Member and the seating Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF.
They were both honoured along with the Nigeria Super Eagles players and technical officials of the team by the President.
The officials and players were also gifted landed properties in appreciation for being African second best in the Nation's Cup.
Speaking with REDAN magazine on the conferment of the MON on him and others by President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the BoT member, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi said, "The conferment of the MON by the president of the federal republic of Nigeria is highly appreciated.
For me, it is greater than money for your president to acknowledge that you have worked and deserve an award. It's greater than any other thing. Going to AFCON, we went with a dream to see and conquer and to bring the trophy to Nigeria.
Before we went there, we came up with a slogan “Let’s do it again “. We did it 10 years ago and we believed it was time to do it again.
So, our dream was to be the first federation that will give the president a Trophy."
