Nigerian track and field athlete Tobi Amusan has crashed out in the women’s 100-meter hurdles at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games.
Tobi Amusan, who was one of Nigeria’s strong medal hopefuls in Paris 2024, finished third in the semi-final of the event.
The 27-year-old athlete ran a disappointing 12.55s in the keenly contested race. She also failed to get a spot as the third-best non-automatic qualified athlete.
The American Olympic athlete Grace Stark and the Bahamian athlete Devynne Charlton came in second and third, respectively. The world record holder made it to the finals three years ago but finished in fourth place.
Amusan failed to make it to her second consecutive final.
