NFF COMMITTED TO FOOTBALL Development. - Alhaji Ahlan Inuwa.

The Nigeria football governing body, the NFF, has of its commitment towards enhassuredancing the development of the Nigerian football sector.

 The President of the NFF, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau stated this while declaring open a one day seminar on match commissioning and the challenges of match reporting organized for match commissioners in the Nigeria National League, Nigeria Women Football League and the NationWide League One.

Alhaji Gusau represented by the Chairman Kano State Football Association Alhaji Inuwa Ahlan said that the NFF was working round the clock to improve on the standards of the leagues especially through officiating and management stressing that the body was keen on making the nation's football sector be at par with its international counterparts.

Alhaji Gusau said the need to improve the league gave birth to the seminar as there was the need to improve the knowledge of the game among the match commissioners who are saddled with ensuring that clubs ides and match officials adhered to the rules and regulations of the game.

He said that the three leagues would continue to develop asserting that the NFF was willing to partner with stakeholders and the private sector towards raising the standard of the game. 

The NFF President said that the body was also working towards engaging league sponsors with the aim of making the leagues more attractive.

The one day seminar which saw hundreds of match commissioners in attendance also had top football managers taking the match commissioners through the rudiments of match commissioning as well as reporting with the program culminating in an examination conducted for the attendees.

The immediate past chairman Delta State Football Association, Chief Ken Nwaomucha who was the host of the event expressed confidence in the knowledge gained by the participants saying it would help them do their jobs more effectively and swiftly.

He lauded the participants for their diligence and urged to put to use what they learnt at the seminar saying the boards of the NNL, NWFL and NLO were working assidiuosly towards making the league more competitive.

Others who spoke including Alhaji Danladi enjoined the participants to always adhere to the rules of the game as that was key in the development of the league.

The 224/25 NNL season is expected to kick off before the end of next month.
