Organisers of the Badagry International Film, Cultural and Sports Festival (BIFIF) on Thursday said that the festival earlier scheduled for October has been postponed to Nov. 15.
Mr. Viyon Awhanse, Chief Executive Officer, BIFIF, while speaking with the media in Lagos said the festival was moved for logistic reasons and further planning.
“We have decided to postpone the festival to Nov. 15 to 18 for logistic reasons and for further planning and inclusion of stakeholders, which will help us deliver a film festival we all can be proud of,” he said.
He said that the festival which aims to reposition Badagry and make it more attractive for local and international tourists will attract no fewer than 5,000 tourists.
He said these tourists would be from Brazil, Asia, East Africa and more nations across the globe.
According to him, the festival with the theme, “Once Upon A Time”, will feature activities around sports, tourism and entertainment.
