Emmanuel goes home as top 5 contestants wow with double performances
Akunna.

Sunday’s live show marked the end of Emmanuel's Nigerian Idol journey as 5 other contestants – Comfort, Faith Jason, Akunna, Francis, and Kingdom made it to the Top 5 stage.

Timeline.ng brings you highlights from performance of the Top 5 as they battled it out with astounding performances.

Kingdom on 'Feeling Good by Ninq Simon' and 'Just the Way You Are' by Bruno Mars.

Kingdom has his way of admirably picking difficult songs with powerful lyrics and delivering them with perfect dictions. It's amazingly easy to know the lyrics of any song When Kingdom sings it. His renditions of Feeling Good by Ninq Simon and 'Just the Way You Are' by Bruno Mars say it all.

The smile, the creativity, the voice, the swag and the performance was unarguably out of this world. In a nutshell music seem not to sound any better until Kingdom sings!

Comfort on 'Thinking Out Loud' by Ed Sheeran and 'Save The Last Dance' by The Drifters

This contestant's emergence as one of the top 5 contestants sent a clear message that she has a loyal fanbase who can't have enough of her tender voice and tirelessly support her growth. Her rendition of Ed Sheeran's 'Thinking Out Loud' was arguably not her best performance. Neither did she do the right amount of justice to 'Save The Last Dance' by The Drifters.

Hopefully Comfort will get another opportunity next week to repay the faith invested in her by fans.

Faith Jason on ‘I'd Rather Go Blind’ by Etta James and 'Someone You Loved' by Lewis Capaldi

Watching and listening to Faith Jason perform on Sunday was just so soothing. It was even more entertaining that Jason's choice of songs suited his voice and tone. Etta James and Lewis Capaldi must be proud of him.

Faith never disappoints right? Yes! whichever way you consider it, in religious or Jason terms.

Akunna on Wrecking Ball' by Miley Cyrus and ‘I Put A Spell On You’ by Annie Lennox

This contestant may not have the best vocals on the show, but her ability to blend vocals with emotion plus showmanship makes her an Idol. Ladies and gentlemen, Behold Akunna with 'Wrecking Ball' by Miley Cyrus and ‘I Put A Spell On You’ by Annie Lennox.

Akunna might go on to become the last female standing. Whichever way things turn out, she deserves to be called a star.

Francis of ‘Too Good at Goodbyes’ by Sam Smith and 'Hello' by Lionel Richie.

Francis never cease to make known his intentions of winning the Nigerian idol reality talent show. He is the dark horse of the competition armed with steady growth and consistency.

His transitions are flawless, his tones - sensational and he puts forth classic demeanors. Give it up for the competition's wow factor!
