Nigerian Idol: Faith Jason exits competition as Comfort, others make Top 4 stage
Faith Jason.

The sixth season of the Nigerian Idol music reality show is gradually coming to an end and the top four contestants are ruthlessly ready to battle it out for the top spot.

Sunday night’s show was themed reggae versus blues and the contestants were required to perform a song from each genre.

Timeline.ng presented highlights of their colourful performances, beginning with their impressive group performance of 'One Love' by Bob Marley.

Francis on 'No Woman No Cry' by Bob Marley and 'Sexual Healing' by Marvin Gaye

The Jos born singer who has all kind of voices in him did what he knew how to do best on Sunday. Francis successfully got viewers convinced that Nigerian Idol 2021 competition is a straight fight between him and Kingdom. Enjoy His electric renditions of 'No Woman No Cry' by Bob Marley and 'Sexual Healing' by Marvin Gaye.

How on God's green earth does he switch voices so effortlessly?

Akunna on 'It Wasn’t Me' by Shaggy and ‘Set Fire To The Rain’ by Adele.

The best female vocalist in the competition delivered as expected on Sunday. It was exciting to observe that Akunna sometimes runs out of breath during her performances but admirably cover it well and kill the songs.

She's unarguably the best female competitor and undoubtedly deserve the spot she is right now.

Comfort on 'Could You Be Loved' by and Bob Marley and 'Natural Woman' by Aretha Franklin

The competition seems to have gotten far stronger than Comfort as viewers are increasingly finding it difficult to connect with her songs.

She has a good voice to her credit but lacks the fight to be a formidable competitor in the league of top 4. Nonetheless, celebrate grace!

Kingdom on ‘Holy Spirit’ by Majek Fashek and 'It's A Man World' by James Brown

This contestant never ceases to give us a show. He's so good that his soul touching rendition of 'Holy Spirit' must have gotten angels gossiping about him. Similarly, he was super impressive with his rendition of 'It's A Man World' by James Brown. All judges stood on their feet - except guest judge Praize who continued to shake his head in awe. "Your being on this stage is a blessing", he said to Kingdom after the performance. DJ Sose refused to sit down even after the performance. "You see I am still standing, Kingdom. Others have sat down, but I am still standing," Sose told Kingdom elatedly.

It will seem that at this point that a song that Kingdom cannot sing does not exist. In a nutshell, he has consistently proven to be in charge of the Nigerian Idol Kingdom.

To reiterate, Kingdom is like water. Takes the shape of every container he finds himself. He can deliver absolutely any song. He's that good.
