1. It is my great pleasure to be here once again to present the 2022 Federal Budget Proposals to this distinguished Joint Session of the National Assembly.
•Gov: Delay in Permit, Approval Processes Inexcusable
All buildings in Lagos State will now be issued licences for safe habitation. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday, launched a rebranded Certificate of Completion and Fitness for Habitation, with the objective to safeguard residents’ lives and address the root causes of building collapse.
Two lawmakers in the Anambra House of Assembly, have defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The lawmakers, Mr Onyebuchi Offor (Ekwusigo Constituency), and Mr Douglas Egbuna, (Onitsha North l Constituency), announced their defection at plenary in Awka, on Wednesday.
The Manufacturer Association of Nigeria Export Group (MANEG) has urged the Federal Government to address activities hindering exporters’ competitiveness at the global market.
Gov. Dave Umahi of Ebonyi said the local government council chairmen, Development Centre Coordinators and traditional rulers will henceforth be held accountable for any further killing within their localities.
