The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, has assured Aliyu Bello Charity Foundation of adequate support for the success of the tournament in the state.
The foundation is the the organiser of the Maiden Edition of Nasarawa State U-13 Inter-Primary School Boys Football Championship.
Abdullahi said this would promote unity, peace, reduce youth restiveness and enable them discover hidden talents for the overall development of the state.
He made the promise while playing host to the organisers of the state U-13 inter-primary school boys football championship organising committee in his office in Lafia on Friday.
He said football and other sporting activities promote unity and peaceful co-existence amongst the people, hence the need for his support to them in that direction.
The speaker commended them for their efforts and initiatives, noting that catching them young will ensure quality players for the future in the state and the country at large.
“I want to thank the committee for the honour and I want to assure you of my every support to the success of the championship,” he said.

Abdullahi also called on them and other people of the state to continue to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, who is also the state Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Aliyu Bello, said the visit was to unveil the replica Jessy of the competition to the speaker
“With his name on it as the number three citizen of the State,” A Balarabe 03,” he said.
The organiser appealed for support and cooperation of the state Assembly to enable the event succeed.
While congratulating the speaker for his victory in the just concluded polls, Bello commended the leadership style of Abdullahi for ensuring good working relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government throughout his eight years in office.
He wished Abdullahi success as the Speaker of the 7th Assembly following his track records in the area of human relation, peace, progress and development of the state.
