Edo State House of Assembly has served notice of impeachment On Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shuaibu Seek His Response Within 7 Days.
The crisis between Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu may have worsened with the planned impeachment of his deputy by the State House of Assembly.
The impeachment process begin on Wednesday.
The House sits about 11:30 o’clock on Wednesday morning.
The House had reportedly made arrangements to have the session broadcast live.
One of the lawmakers hinted that the State Executive paid NTA for live coverage of Shaibu’s planned impeachment and eventual removal.
He also said that 21 lawmakers out of the 24 had signed the impeachment notice, after allegedly collecting the cash sum of N15m each.
