The recent alarm raised by the Independent National Election Commission over the scale of violence witnessed and perpetuated by political party supporters and stakeholders at the ongoing 2023 polls campaigns exercise across the country has continued to generate reactions from critical stakeholders.

In a an exclusive chat with Nigeria's frontline online ,Timeline.ng news crew Dr. Haruna Garba Gololo, a former peacekeeping soldier in Liberia, Sierra-Leone and Chezkoslovakia allayed the fears expressed by INEC with regards some skirmishes experienced during the ongoing campaign rallies in the country.

Dr. Haruna Garba Gololo said the unrest will not halt or affect the 2023 polls as similar incidences occurred prior to the 2019 presidential polls amidst the insecurity in the country and other challenges.

He charged the Nation's election umpire INEC and security agencies to up their ante and professionalism in order to quell the antics and unruly behavior of individuals and groups determined to sabotage the forthcoming general elections.

The security expert turned politician expressed confidence in the ability of the ruling party to win the 2023 polls regardless of the odds faced and urged Nigerian electorates to vote wisely at the polls.
