The recent Arewa joint committee meeting with presidential candidates of various political parties involved in the upcoming 2023 presidential race in Kaduna State has been described as the best opportunity for all the candidates to express their plans and manifesto to Nigerians on how they intend to take the country out of the woods rather than a ploy by the Northern elites to force a candidate on their people .

This was the stance of the former Nigeria Labour Congress chairman Alhaji S.A. Danzaki during an exclusive interview with Nigeria’s leading online platform Timeline.ng.

Alhaji Danzaki in a no holds bar interview said despite the New Nigeria Peoples Party’s presidential candidate Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s reservations on the true essence of the meeting, organized by northern elders he should have shown up and declared his plans for the electorates rather than boycotting the event.

He said the Nigerian electorates of today have grown wiser and smarter thus cannot be swayed by the antics of politicians who have consistently fooled the electorates.

The former labour leader said the meeting held in Kaduna should be replicated across the country in-order for the electorates to ask those seeking to lead them pertinent questions ahead of the polls.

Alhaji Danzaki commended the presidential candidates for their various manifestos and plans on how to provide succor and development for the Northern region while blaming the lack of employment and shut down of the foremost textile factories in the state for the rise insecurity.
