Africa Sports Ventures Group, partners to host Namibian olympic sensations Christine Mboma and Beatrice Masilingi

The Africa Sports Ventures Group says it is set to host Namibian Track and Field Sensation and Olympic 200 Meters Silver Medalist Christine Mboma and teammate Beatrice Masilingi and the Namibian national Relay Team at the PV Relay on March 25th & 26th and the ASVG Legends Championships on April 16th, 2022.

This was contained in a press release issued by the Africa Sports Ventures Group to inform the public and the Track & Field Community globally of the upcoming events set to be hosted in partnership with Prairie View A&M University.

According to the press release, the PV Relays are an 80-year-old tradition at the Historically Black University in the outskirts of Houston Texas which the University is now developing into a global world-class event. While the ASVG Legends Championship is the first in a series that Africa Sports Ventures Group is developing to provide world-class level Meets for athletes on the African Continent. The rest of the series will be based on the Continent with the second edition; the Samuel Matete Classic to follow in June this year in Lusaka, Zambia.

The statement went on to note that Africa Sports Ventures Group is committed to enhancing the Sports sector on the African Continent and help grow it into a full-scale industry worthy of providing a livelihood for millions in a Continent where Jobs are scarce and cannot meet the demand of the rapid population growth.

Speaking about its mandate and mission the Founder and CEO of Africa Sports Ventures Group Mr. Leslie Koroma Sr said; "we have no option but to fight to build systems and structures that will aid in the growth and sustenance of a vibrant Sports sector that will serve the continent well."

The Track Meets which will be held in Hempstead Texas a suburb town West of Houston Texas USA, will take place respectively on March 25th & 26th 2022 (PV Relays) and April 16th 2022 (ASVG Legends Championship).
