After all the disappointments and distractions that has greeted Nigeria participation at the ongoing Tokyo Olympic, the country now has something to smile about as Blessing Oborududu has qualified for the women’s Wrestling Final, a mandatory medal position for the Athlete win or lose.
As it is, Oborududu has placed herself to win at least a silver at the Olympics and can even push for the gold in the final if she gives it her all.
Oborududu on Monday morning defeated her semi final opponent Soronzobold of Mongolia 7-2 to qualify to the final of the 68kg event.
She defeated Azerbaijani Elis Manolova & Meerim Zhumanazarova of Kyrgyzstan to advance to her first Olympic semi finals.
