Young Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 25 are being targeted for a special virtual conference to help them access decision-making information from selected mentors.
Slated to hold on Saturday, December 11, 2021, the conference, tagged "Prepare for the Future" is a part of the Mentoring Tomorrow program of the Heritage and Legacy Foundation, a non-profit organization that aspires to improve the capacity of young Nigerians to excel in various spheres of life. It does this by connecting them with mentors from diverse fields.
"The 'Prepare for the Future' conference comes in a post COVID era where many youths are lost in a dwindling economy bedeviled with a high unemployment rate. The virtual conference is a precursor to 'Starting Out'. Starting Out is the Foundation's 6-month mentoring programme for this age group through which we hope to leverage on the mentors to guide those who sign up for the program to make the early, right choices that will help them navigate more successfully through life," Gloria Amayo, Heritage and Legacy Foundation's Program Officer said.
