The Voice Nigeria 3: Waje loses Anu to Yemi in knockout stage
Coach Waje, Anu and Coach Yemi.

Popular music reality show, The Voice Nigeria, is apparently packing more suspense as it progresses and viewers cannot seem to get enough.

For week nine, Waje’s six-talent team took over from where Falz's team left off in week eight to share the spotlight.

Teslim opened up the stage with a smooth rendition of Styl Plus' "Runaway."

He did well to dramatise his performance by presenting a rose flower to Coach Yemi who received it with all smiles.

When asked to judge Teslim's performance, Coach Waje chose to send him to the danger zone. Unfortunately, he was eventually evicted.

Next was Ifunnaya who wowed with her rendition of Seyi Shay's "Right now". The performance was not only electrifying but - to borrow Coach Darey's voice - Madeux!

As usual, Coach Waje was not one to jump into hasty conclusions. Instead, Ifunnaya to the danger zone and ultimately evicted.

Subsequent performance from Team Waje saw Nuel Ayo mesmerise with his performance of "When A Woman Loves" by R. Kelly.

It was a song that suit his voice and he was meritoriously sent to the Battles for checking all boxes of excellent delivery.

Seemingly inspired by Nuel's delivery, Elizabeth and Inioluwa brought their A game and earned their spots in the Battles with superb renditions of Rihanna's "California King Bed" and Asa's "Fire on The Mountain" respectively.

In what can be best described as a moment of grace, Anu astonished with her performance of Ariana Grande's "God is a Woman."

While making her way to the danger zone she was stolen by Coach Yemi. That was a strong finish for her.

The Voice Nigeria continues to enjoys rave reviews by fans, especially on social media, with many making projections as to which contestants would move to the next round.

Sponsored by First Bank, Airtel and Baba Ijebu, the winning talent for the third season of The Voice Nigeria would go home with a monetary reward, a brand-new car, and an international recording contract.
