Nigerian Idol Season 6: See captivating performances from top 8 contestants

Nigerian Idol season 6 elimination Night on Sunday saw the emergence of top 8 contestants as Clinton's journey came to an end. 

Taking the stage one after the other, the top 8 contestants put up captivating performances that impressed judges Seyi Shay, DJ Sose and Obi Asika. 

We bring you their performances below:

(1) Daniel on “Good Morning”

Daniel opened up the stage with a distinct vocal performance of Brymo’s “Good Morning“. 

He did really sing like someone who woke up on the right side of his bed! Wouldn't you agree?

(2) Comfort on “Duduke” 

Next was Comfort who wowed judges with with her heart melting rendition of Simi’s “Duduke”. 

It's amazing how much she has grown in style and confidence and the performance arguably ranks as one of her best. 

(3) Faith on “Awele”

The Faith we all knew used to be a gentle charming chap until he switched to highlife with this impressive rendition of “Awele” by Flavour.

Are you not entertained? 

(4) Emmanuel on “For You”

Emmanuel was an embodiment of Austin Kleon's 'Steal like an Artist' with his rendition of Teni’s “For You.” 

He did really sing it like he wrote it right? 

(5) Akunna on “Loving Your Way”

When it comes to being intentional, you can trust Akunna to deliver. Her mesmerizing performance of Seyi Shay’s “Loving Your Way“ says it all. 

Now you know who her favorite judge is! 

(6) Francis on “Ada Ada”

There is no end in sight to yearnings for hearing Francis sing. He increased the desire with his masterful performances of Flavour’s "Ada Ada." 

It goes without saying that Flavour must be proud of Francis. 

(7) Kingdom on “Aye”

This contestant is not resting on his oars and knows the battle is far from finished. His magical performance of Davido’s “Aye“ says it all. 

Don't be shy, give him a standing ovation. 

(8) Beyonce on “Right Now”

Last but definitely not the least of amazing performances was Beyonce's thrilling cover of Seyi Shay’s "Right Now."

Seyi Shay right? Forget the conspiracy, that performance was top notch.
